Running counter to the received wisdom that cool temperatures call for darker colors, some designers showed pale dresses in the daytime portion of their fall collections. Yigal Azrouël and Carolina Herrera both belted theirs with skinny black ties. Ruffian showed a tailored coat over a sheer slip, while at his acclaimed show, Ralph Rucci kept his long version light by replacing the lower third with translucent fabric.
