Yesterday, designer darling Olivier Theyskens showed his second collection for Theory to a crowd dense with fashion heavyweights like Anna Wintour, Olivier Zahm, and Emmanuelle Alt, and retailers from Bergdorf, Barneys, and the like. A cheerful Theyskens explained after the show he tried to make “all the clothes I would like to wear if I was a cool girl.” That meant useful workwear, kimono-inspired coats, and architectural dresses. Of course there were more sky-high platform shoes, which Theyskens knows are comfortable because he’s tried them on. Watch the video to hear what he has to say about living in New York.
