Chicken Potpie Is ‘Anna Wintour’s Favorite Dish’

Chicken potpie is the hot thing to serve at fashion parties, according to the Times. Everyone from Calvin Klein to Bruce Weber to Anna Wintour to KCD requests it when they have events or photo shoots catered.

If the dish is having a high-flying moment, there’s a practical sensibility that’s appealing. “It’s Anna Wintour’s favorite dish because it’s quick to serve and moves things right along,” said her private chef, Hank Tomashevski. “It’s got everything you need in there, vegetables and a meat for meat-eaters, in one course.”

Of course they like chicken potpie. They can't serve celery sticks. No one wants to eat their vinegar-only salad dressing in public. They want to eat their butter and carbs so they look like that magical person who eats everything and stays super-thin. Maybe when they're done, they'll say "I feel so FAT," so someone else rolls their eyes and says "Oh, PLEASE." Win-win.
