Kate Winslet attended the NYC premiere of the new HBO film Mildred Pierce last night in a long-sleeved black dress with a sheer side polka-dotted panel from Stella McCartney's fall 2011 collection. She wore a pair of black heels, also from the fall 2011 Stella McCartney collection, and carried a black-and-gold Calvin Klein clutch.

This dress surely flatters Kate's curves, but would the look have benefited from a pop of color by way of accessories?
