Reports of Layoffs at AOL’s StyleList Put Blog’s Future in Jeopardy

Following the news that AOL would eliminate 200 jobs in the U.S. thanks to its acquisition of the Huffington Post, rumors are emerging that the entire staff of its fashion and beauty blog StyleList has been laid off, except for beauty editor Dana Oliver. Editorial director of women’s & lifestyle programming Colleen Curtis is said to be out, and a source tells Racked, “It’s not clear if there will even be a Stylelist after today.” We have also heard that day-to-day communications with freelancers have been mysteriously disrupted.
