Exclusive First Look: Eddie Borgo’s Pre-Fall Collection

By

Since being crowned a runner-up for this year's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, jewelry designer Eddie Borgo has injected the $100,000 prize money into the label's expansion. In a few weeks, he'll launch his first-ever pre-fall collection, available exclusively on Net-A-Porter, which consists of seven pieces rendered in delicate rose gold. Just as his previous collections have stuck with a central theme (his spring/summer 2011 collection revolved around sleek locking mechanisms, like U-bars and padlocks), his pre-fall collection focuses on small cone shapes, which add edge without looking too stud-like (they resemble tiny golden Hershey's kisses, only tougher). Borgo has also been nominated for a CFDA Award, and his forthcoming collaboration with J.Crew (part of his CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund prize) will launch next month.
