As this year's Cannes Film Festival winds down, staffers at pop-up boutiques and showrooms are no doubt packing up racks — and racks — of couture gowns and other assorted finery that had been brought in hopes of a red carpet outing. A lot of haute looks got lucky during the week's many events, with a dazzling array of A-Listers, including Aishwarya Rai, Angelina Jolie, Fan Bing Bing ... and, oddly, Cheryl Cole (if you're thinking, "who?," that's okay; here's a quick crib-sheet), styled to the highest of high fashion. (For this roundup we're defining couture as anything created by current and guest members of the French Chambre Syndicale, making one exception for Atelier Versace, a former member.)
