Best Bet: Butter London’s Fall Polishes

Butter London is a favorite among nail polish aficionados — it's long-lasting, high-quality, and non-toxic (free of formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, and parabens). It's also a Fashion Week mainstay and was modeled on the fall runways at Alexander Wang, Yigal Azrouel, Vena Cava, and more. But mostly, we love the brand for its offbeat hues. The new jewel-toned fall/winter collection launches next week. The aptly named Bluey is a silvery peacock blue; Kneesup is a rusty, metallic red; Toff is a deeper, toned-down take on a dusty rose; and Wallis is a party-ready tarnished olive-gold. Our top picks from the batch are Toff, which has a more matte finish than Essie's array of barely-there pinks, and Kneesup, which has a silvery tone in the light.

$14 each, online in August.
