Get Ready for Fall: 800 Boots and Leather Goods in the New Frye Store

Frye, the 150-year-old boot purveyor, is opening its first-ever stand-alone retail store in Soho on Monday. The Long Island-based heritage brand stays true to its motto — “Worn in, but not worn out” — in the design, decking out the 3,000-square-foot store with reclaimed oak floors, reclaimed barn doors, custom-made brass fixtures, and antique furniture. The selection includes footwear for women and men, as well as a smaller selection of impossibly tiny harness boots and leather loafers for kids. The in-store fall collection includes 800 styles of shoes, handbags, and leather accessories, though the boots, of course, are the main attraction. Prices range from $208 for work boots and shorter styles, to $498 for tall riding boots with antique buckles. Though the brand is best known for its flat harness boots, you’ll also find high-heeled booties, oxfords, and clogs in-store. Click ahead for a preview.
