First Look: Richard Phillips’s ‘Point of Purchase’ Exhibit

Her work has also been published in Glamour, Art in America, Politico, and other places.

Contemporary artist Richard Phillips is one of the few painters to have broken into fashion media, and he’s collaborated with a host of big names like Jimmy Choo and MAC Cosmetics. His pop imagery toes the line between commercial branding and cultural commentary, particularly his images of celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Coco Rocha, and Taylor Momsen. His works will be shown in an exhibit titled “Point of Purchase,” which opens at Glenn Horowitz Bookseller in East Hampton tomorrow.
