A new biography of Coco Chanel, about whom many books have already been written, is coming out in November. This one should be more salacious than most, reports WWD:
With this fall’s release of “Coco Chanel: An Intimate Life,” biographer Lisa Chaney claims to have concrete evidence that the designer used drugs, embraced bisexuality and had an affair with Salvador Dalí while he was married.
These revelations surely would have been much more shocking in the early to middle years of the last century. Nowadays, hearing someone used drugs and engaged in bisexual activities is like saying, "it's August, and it's hot outside."
