First Look: Ten Legendary Photographs of Marisa Berenson

By

Originally dubbed "the girl of the seventies" by Yves Saint Laurent, iconic American face Marisa Berenson helped define a generation's idea of beauty. She worked alongside a veritable who's who of fashion photography, including Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Guy Bourdin, and Steven Meisel, who guest-edits the images in Rizzoli's forthcoming book, Marisa Berenson: A Life in Pictures. The book also features an interview with Diane von Furstenberg about Diana Vreeland, which includes an account of von Furstenberg peeing on the floor (it was New Year's). See ten of our favorite images from the book in the slideshow ahead.
