JCPenney’s new commercial for Van Heusen menswear features a split-screen video with some dude wearing a pink tie and jeans on one side and an old clip of Phoebe Cates fannying about in her bikini on the other. This has angered several blogs, who deem the ad sexist, not only toward women, but also toward men who are perfectly capable of shopping for themselves without scantily clad women to tempt them.
