Cindy Crawford’s 10-year-old daughter, Kaia Gerber, has been tapped as the face of Young Versace, the label’s new line for kids. This is the same daughter who Cindy said was considering modeling a few years ago: “She’s definitely tall, but hopefully I can keep her away from it for a little while,” she said at the time. (Kaia was then 8, and apparently told her mom she might try modeling at some point “because you don’t need any special skills.”) As Cindy famously served as a muse for Gianni, it makes sense that the label snagged her daughter’s modeling debut. In a release, Donatella said:
Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift … the camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on-set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps!
