Dov Charney has tapped a former Urban Outfitters executive Jordan Schiff as American Apparel's new general merchandise manager. Both companies have had considerable trouble retaining top-level employees lately (Schiff left Urban last month when the company's former CEO, Glen Senk, announced he was leaving for David Yurman), so this is an interesting move.
