The creative director told the Coveteur: "A shoe collection sort of comes with the territory of my profession. After all, I've been in the business since 1995. That is a lot of fashion seasons with a lot of variations. What can I say, I love shoes. I always have. When I was young, I would go to Spain on shoe shopping trips. My mother would constantly remind me that I only have two feet. My sister cared about dolls; I cared about shoes — all kinds, all colors. I select shoes according to my mood, my state of mind, or the day’s agenda. Meeting means assertive Manolo; date with husband means seductive Givenchy."
