Marc Fisher, whose eponymous footwear company manufactures Guess's sneakers, has been accused of conspiring with Guess to knock off Gucci products. When Fisher testified in court yesterday, he was grilled at length about the "shading" in Guess's "Quattro G" logo, which closely resembles Gucci's. "I never noticed the shading,” Fisher said repeatedly, growing exasperated. "I don’t understand why we’re spending 45 minutes discussing shading."
