Advanced Style Gets Funding for Documentary; Lane Crawford to Partner With J.Crew in China

Ari Seth Cohen, who runs the street-style blog Advanced Style, raised $35,000 to help him complete the production of a documentary on the well-dressed older ladies of New York City. [Velvet Roper]

• Hong Kong–based chain Lane Crawford will sell a "curated selection" of J.Crew's clothing, shoes, and accessories starting in October. [WWD]

• Of Seth Meyers's CFDAs outfit, Marc Jacobs said: "I thought Seth was amazing. He was so great. He's super funny and gave me a real run for my money in that dress. It was definitely the high point in the night. [But] I think I wore it better. I wore it first so that makes it better." [InStyle]

• British designers like Paul Smith, milliner Stephen Jones, Hussein Chalayan, Giles Deacon, and Matthew Williamson are teaming up with London artists to create nine pieces to commemorate the Olympics, which will be displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum this summer. [WWD]
