Retail cartographer Jim Leniart told the Times that, on the same stretch of Madison (from 60th to 78th Streets), there are now "82 designer-clothing boutiques, 34 high-end jewelry stores and 34 stores specializing in categories like shoes, handbags, or eyewear." Our wallets (or the Ziploc baggies we keep our money in) hurt.
