Mischa Barton celebrated the soft launch of her new boutique, Mischa's Place, in London's Spitalfields Market with a party last night. (Official opening day is Saturday, when you can go fawn over Mischa and throw back some free "celebratory" Champagne.) Kate Middleton's younger brother, James, attended, you know, to add some gravitas to the proceedings. Barton's handbag line is now in its ninth season, but this store's opening marks her clothing design debut. She told British Vogue that the collection showcases "elements of [her] style" but was developed with a broad, budget-conscious audience in mind. She added astutely, "There are plenty of pieces for people who don't just want to dress like Mischa," which you can draw your own conclusions from.
