Fug Girls: Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross and Cory Kennedy Really Hit It Off at BCBG

NEW YORK, NY - SEPTEMBER 06: (L-R) Cory Kennedy, Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross, DJ Kiss, and Whitney Port attend the BCBGMAXAZRIA Spring 2013 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Theatre at Lincoln Center on September 6, 2012 in New York City. We knew we'd see some Olympian or another at BCBG this morning: In the past, we've spotted Nastia Liukin and Alicia Sacramone in the front row, so our money was on one of the Fierce Five gymnasts. Would McKayla Maroney be impressed, we wondered? Sadly, we'll never know (maybe her lack of poker face is too dangerous for Fashion Week), as there was nary a gymnast to be seen. However, in their tiny stead, we got to geek out over track and field gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross, who seemed cheerfully impressed enough for everyone. Sanya sported what looked like a jumpsuit, un-tailored and bagging on the floor around her feet, complete with mesh panels showing a surprisingly ample amount of side- and underboob — although admittedly that isn't such a big deal when all the world has already seen you in athletic spankies and a sports bra. Speaking of things being flashed, we hear Sanya did show off her medals backstage, but didn't appear to bring them out to her seat; this forced us to conclude that if we ever win Olympic medals (like when typing or tweets-per-minute or brattiness is added to the slate), we are totally leaving them at home all the time. What if someone uses it as a coaster? Or worse? Would the IOC look kindly upon replacing a gold medal you accidentally left at Fashion Week?

Amusingly, Sanya sat next to party girl Cory Kennedy, who looked typically tired even though it's only day one. We couldn’t imagine what they'd have in common — they both have ... long hair? — but they seemed to really hit it off, posing for iPhone self-portraits and then looking through each other's camera rolls. We can only imagine how that conversation went: "Oh, here I am dancing on a table." "Fun! Here I am dancing all over the the hopes of my rivals as I win a gold medal." On Sanya's other side was D.J. Kiss (yeah, we have no idea either) and Whitney Port, who was nearly the first person out from backstage and therefore did a ton of press. Given that she currently has no known projects in the hopper other than her fashion line, we can't help but wonder what she's promoting. Is Max Azria getting in the Whitney Eve business, or does girlfriend just miss the paparazzi?

Filling out the front row were Estelle, totally incognito in sunglasses and a blue turban, like what Alexis Carrington wears on a casual morning by the pool; Dania Ramirez, whom we overheard gushing that the new BCBG line was "soooo adorable"; Selita Ebanks, whose hair is currently very long and straight, and who was accessorizing her floral dress with very high, very pink shoes; and model Jessica White, who was also sporting sunglasses, paired with a white satin crop-top that was so hideous, it looked ripped out of an unmentionables catalogue from Sears in the sixties. At the very last minute, the PR girls squeezed erstwhile One Tree Hill star and current country singer Jana Kramer into the slot between Jessica and a woman we at first thought was Rhona Mitra (or, as we wrote in our notebook, "that cranky looking one from Boston Legal") but who actually turned out to be a French actress named Barbara Schultz. Kramer was tiny, tiny, tiny in a white lace dress and has started to look weirdly like Kelly Bensimon. Honey, if anyone from Real Housewives comes up to you this week, we advise you run, because it's about to get ugly.
