Confident designers in London, New York, and now Milan are combining two major trends: saturated color and metallics.  In seasons past, the combination might have come off as clashing, but for spring 2013, the pairing looked fresh and arresting. Metallic silver accessories and rich blues and greens walked the runways at Michael Kors. Burberry did the same, but went so far as to metallicize jewel-toned pleated organzas and leather trenches. And at Gucci yesterday, popping canary yellow was presented with gold metallic embellishments. We predict we'll be seeing this styling move in fashion editorials for months to come.
