As promised, she participated in France 2’s Charles Aznavour–hosted special “Hier encore,” which aired Saturday night, singing Charles Trénet’s 1936 hit, “Vous qui passez sans me voir.” Subjectively speaking, her three-minute-long performance was soooo good (best part: the audience’s uncoordinated clapping around 2:08, phased out ten seconds later, but back for more at 2:50), and she also crooned a version of Georges Brassens’s “Les copains d’abord” with Gérard Darmon, Claire Keim, and Thomas Dutronc — people you probably haven’t heard of. CARLA!
