Like their husbands, Michelle Obama and Ann Romney hugged onstage last night after the first presidential debate of 2012. As previously noted, it was their first face-to-face encounter during this election season, and it was decidedly stiff. They did their best to look warm, relaxed, and courteous, but there were grimaces forced smiles, double-chins as they navigated which side to put their heads, and some halfhearted back-patting on both ends.
