Long coats in a myriad of fabrics and styles have been turning up on the runways, but in Paris, they took a dressier turn in the form of long but lightweight satin opera coats. At Miu Miu today, they were worn with crop tops and midi-length skirts, while Céline’s long, silk, trenchlike coat, worn with sandals and slip dresses, had a decidedly haphazard, nineties demeanor. And at Rochas, a dramatic chrysanthemum-print opera coat was paired with a matching high-waisted silk bikini and white wrestling boots.
