Exclusive Video: DVF’s Fashion for Sandy Relief PSA

As you may know, Vogue and the CFDA joined forces — peas in a pod, as always — to raise money for Hurricane Sandy relief. Here’s Diane von Furstenberg’s PSA video about the online auction, which started last week and continues for the next fifteen days. Despite the worthy cause, things have been pretty quiet on the bidding front, probably because all the items are so pricey: Lunch with von Furstenberg currently has one bid, starting at $2,500, while a meeting with Victoria Beckham after her fashion show on February 10 has zero bids and starts at $5,000.* But props to CFDA CEO Steven Kolb, who stepped up as the sole bidder on this adorable Bruce Weber print of two elephants clad in Chanel. Obviously, this auction is for folks who can afford to part with that kind of money regardless of the items for sale, so don’t be shy, wealthy ones! A goodie bag from Vogue may not be worth thousands, but it can’t be all that bad.

* Apparently this item actually does, in fact, include tickets to Beckham’s show, which ups your chances of feasting your eyes on Harper Seven. So, what are you waiting for?
