As much as it pains us to draw attention to yet another “controversial” PETA ad, it is funny that this most recent one — in which Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa wears a merkin under pink panties with the tagline “Fur Trim: Unattractive” — is a recycling of a 2000 ad. The tame illustration has been reinterpreted as an eye-catching and NSFW photograph. The Gloss pointed us to these responses Ms. magazine solicited to the original. “Selling out to the patriarchal bullshit may get people’s attention, but it can never replace teaching compassion,” one reader wrote.
