Zoom on This: Jason Wu, Cushnie Et Ochs, and More

Just two days into this New York Fashion Week and there are plenty of details to plan for one’s fall wardrobe. (See our picks from day one’s shows here.) If you didn’t have a chance to warm up to double slits for spring, then you’ll have time to for fall: Cushnie et Ochs delivered their signature cut-out fitted dresses, adding racing french-cut front slits to one look, which if you recall, was a shocking but welcome theme last New York fashion week.

At Sally Lapointe, kid skin leather spats reaching above the knee caught our eye, one pair was completely embroidered with matte black paillettes and tiny glass beads that seemed to mimic the pattern of crocodile skin. Jason Wu delivered the usual girly fare; floaty pleated dresses and skirts, but this time with more trousers — high-waisted to keep with the hourglass shape he’s so fond of. There were also fitted trench coats with sculpted capes in stiff back satin. One coat stood out — constructed entirely from white fox fur, which was totally on point given the weather today. Click ahead for a closer look.
