Parsons Dean of Fashion ‘Loves John Galliano’

Last week, the former Dior designer spent time at Central Saint Martins in London, where he met with second-year students from the BA in Womenswear Fashion program to comment on their Edward Hopper–themed work — part of an ongoing collaboration between the designer and the school. He also did some "casual ... wandering," but a CSM representative clarified, "John Galliano does not have a teaching post at Central Saint Martins."

Not that the wisdom of potential-professor Galliano isn't in high demand! In February, the Post wrote, "We had heard that Galliano would be welcome at New York's Parsons the New School for Design, but no agreement has been made." And Fashionista spotted Parsons dean of fashion Simon Collins on Monday night — "while he didn't confirm or deny the rumors, he did say, emphatically, that he 'loves John Galliano' and intimated that he'd be happy to have Galliano teach at Parsons." We're also open to a guest lecture series at the Cut U.
