The latest celebrity to try choppy bangs is Dior face Marion Cotillard, and she looks great, as always. But far more interesting is the Dior dress she wore for her big bangs-revealing moment in Japan last night, because it exactly matched her new hairdo. Like her hair, the skirt was quite short in the front, long in the back, and tapered gradually to its full length on the sides, suggesting that it was chosen specifically for her fringe’s momentous unveiling. Raf Simons has been sending mullet dresses down the runway since he started at the label, so maybe his gowns inspired Cotillard’s cut — and perhaps his hemlines will go through an awkward growing-out phase next season.
