Beyoncé Becomes a Met Gala Chair in the Nick of Time

Last year, Beyoncé swanned up the steps at the Met Gala in a sheer Givenchy gown at the very last minute — so late, in fact, that some photographers were already packing up their equipment. She hadn’t even planned to go, but decided to show up and dazzle everyone, just for kicks! And because she can. Now WWD reports that she has been added to this year’s gala as an honorary chair, which means she has to show up on time at the very least, and she may even join the other co-chairs Rooney Mara, Riccardo Tisci, Lauren Santo Domingo, and Anna Wintour in the welcoming line. In which case it’ll truly be like being received by the Queen. Let the performance rumors commence … now!
