’Tis the season for men in tights! Grab some beer and a box of Cracker Jack and prepare to stare intently at a television screen — or real-life baseball field — for nine whole innings. Tonight, starting at 7:05 p.m., the Mets will be playing ball against the Philadelphia Phillies. Even if you’re not a die-hard Mets fan, there’s a reason to tune in — so you can catch a glimpse of the Mets’ captain and third baseman, David Wright, swinging bats with his enormous arms, throwing baseballs using said gigantic biceps, and, of course, running around the diamond in tight little pants. If the Mets win, we’re expecting that he’ll crack a smile, but he looks just as attractive looking all serious with eye black smeared underneath his eyes.
