Photographer Dawn DiCarlo and art director Natalie Shriver were looking through a collection of photographs for a new collaboration and found themselves drawn to hand imagery by various artists — from Man Ray to Alfred Stieglitz — and noticed they all looked, well, pretty haunting. "That feeling of something being haunting led to spooky and spooky led to illusion," she explains. "And eventually the concept developed into a story of magic, mystery, and sleight of hand."
