More models descended upon Cannes today, most notably Alessandra Ambrosio, who has managed to wear not just one but two different slinky, shimmery gowns already. Joining her at the premiere of All Is Lost was Milla Jovovich in bejeweled Armani with a ruffled train, Irina Shayk in a baffling contraption of a dress, and Jessica Chastain in her remarkably accessorized Givenchy couture.
Meanwhile, just as we were starting to get tired of the same faces on the red carpets, the Roitfelds and their entourage began trickling in. There's no sign of Mama Carine on any red carpets yet, but Julia Restoin-Roitfeld attended the de Grisogono party in ruffly Dolce & Gabbana, followed by brother Vladimir and his girlfriend Giovanna Battaglia, who wore an interesting tinfoil butt-cape.
Other exciting additions: the always-polished Kristin Scott Thomas, French model turned actress Anaïs Monory, and Catherine Deneuve, whose posture is even better than ever. Click through our slideshow to see the best of day eight at Cannes, and look forward to Carine's glitzy amfAR gala tomorrow.
