On April 30, Salvatore Ferragamo went into full-on celebration mode to honor both the launch of L’Icona (the luxury brand’s online venture featuring 21 portraits of style icons taken by photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank) and the Vara flat’s 35th anniversary. Celebrities and fashion-world regulars including Derek Blasberg, Eva Longoria, Natalie Joos, and Azaelia Banks descended to New York’s meatpacking district to dance the night away to live music by Alexandra Richards and Sophie Auster. The party attendees were also the first group granted access to customize their own pair of Varas.
