When Donatella Versace throws a party, it's carte blanche to bleach your hair, layer on all your shiniest gold jewelry, and squeeze yourself into as much black leather and lace as you can find. Because sometimes tacky can be great! Last night, guests like Harry Brant and Paloma Faith crowded into the Lexington Avenue Armory with Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn (of all people!) to see Versace's new Versus collection, which was designed in collaboration with J.W. Anderson. Interspersed with various music performances (Grimes!), models paraded out in small groups, while Donatella and Anderson watched from a giant glass cube in the middle of the room.
Of course, being in the presence of Donatella meant that lots of celebrities wore sheer lace (Heidi Klum, Hayden Panettiere, and even Soon-Yi), and there was enough black leather (on Taylor Momsen, Leigh Lezark, Skye Ferreira, and Christian Siriano) to upholster a fleet of fancy Italian sports cars.
