When Barneys first called Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, they were just seniors at Parsons. "So we called the skinniest friend we had in college," recalled Hernandez, and McCollough finished his sentence: "We were like, 'You're gonna wear some samples!'"
