Michelle Obama Wore Belted Burberry in Belfast

By

Arriving in Northern Ireland for the G8 summit today, the Obamas dressed sensibly for the weather, with Michelle in a snappy new corseted Burberry trench with a leather belt. This is one of her best silhouettes — a fitted waist with structure throughout the bodice — and it's interesting that she left it partially unbuttoned, perhaps to avoid that stiff look that double-breasted jackets can have.

A picture shows the footwear of US President Barack Obama (2L), First Lady Michelle Obama (R) and their daughters Malia (2R) and Sasha (L) as they stand on the tarmac after disembarking from Air Force One at Aldergrove International Airport in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 17, 2013 as Barack Obama prepared to attend the G8 summit in Lough Erne near Enniskillen.

Meanwhile, the first daughters color-coordinated their lower halves (as usual), with Malia in pink sandals to match Sasha's raspberry-colored khakis; like their mom, they also had on wool peacoats. Oh, and Barack wore a navy suit, again.
