Just a month after making her a cover girl, Vanity Fair placed Kerry Washington at the top of their 2013 International Best Dressed List, which was released today. In the past year, as Scandal has become more successful, Washington has been stepping out in sophisticated yet fashion-forward ensembles: She wore a Giles cloud gown to the London premiere of Django Unchained, for instance, and a stunning coral Miu Miu to the Oscars, so that top spot seems well deserved. Honestly, she could have won simply based on every ensemble she's worn as Olivia Pope on television. It's just a shame they didn't save her cover for this month, rather than putting another dead lady (Princess Diana) on the front of a 2013 magazine.
Other style honorees joining Washington on the annual list are Jenna Lyons (her first time!), Kate Middleton, and China's Dirst Lady, Peng Liyuan — though not our own FLOTUS, sadly. After two major magazine covers, an Emmy nom, and a secret wedding, we're going to go ahead and call 2013 the Year of Kerry Washington.
