Barneys' current video ad features French actress and singer Lou Doillon alongside a creepy puppet version of herself, directed by Dutch photographer duo Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. At last night's campaign launch party, the Cut asked the couple what their own alter egos would look like. "Our work!" Matadin responded. Van Lamsweerde elaborated: “I imagine myself as the models that we photograph all the time. I mean, that’s what it’s about. It’s a projection of me or Vinoodh on her." She even vocalizes this on set: "I always think that I’m [the models] when I shoot them. Or, I want to exchange. I’m always saying, ‘I want your body, and your face.’”
