A Pretty Blouse Inspired by an Eighties Arcade Game

By

Growing up in the eighties, I remember trying to emulate all of the older kids by playing Atari's Asteroids at the arcade and having a blast, despite being terrible at it. The classic video game (which you can still play now!) serves as the unlikely inspiration for a pretty and wearable blouse by Band of Outsiders. Drawing from all of the colors you'd see on the screen, the bright little flecks mimic the dots you'd shoot to earn points. Not only does it perk up the simple silk top but it's a nice little nostalgic nod to my childhood. With a silhouette that cuts away from the body, it's also forgiving enough to be worn for even the most gluttonous of meals over these next two months. I'd pair it with slim black trousers and add colorful heels for a chic look that satisfies my inner nerd.
