The new moon in Sagittarius on Monday, December 2 will lend a hopeful, cheery outlook, and this is an excellent time to begin planning a holiday party or organizing your social calendar for the season.
Mercury will link with Mars on Tuesday, December 3, and this day is likely to be extremely busy. You may find yourself enjoying a good argument, but more in the spirit of competition than because of negative energies within you.
Both Mercury and Mars will move into detrimental positions this week: Sagittarius and Libra, respectively. Thus, communication and energy levels could be wonky throughout the entire holiday season. Try to go with the flow. Refill your eggnog. Whatever gets you through the night.
Sagittarius (November 22–December 21)
Now it is important to get some strong personal gratification from what you do, so do not put yourself in the backseat position with others. Do not deny your ego or subordinate yourself. Rather, you have to coordinate your needs with others’.
Capricorn (December 22–January 19)
Mars, the planet of ego drives, is very much at home in this sector of your horoscope, the house of highest ego expression. If you can remain reasonably conscious of other people’s interests and not come into conflict with them more than absolutely necessary, this transit can help you make great progress toward the objectives you have set for yourself. Try to play down conflicts with co-workers who are threatened by your efforts to get ahead.
Aquarius (January 20–February 18)
This transit can be a time when you do more creative intellectual work than usual and attempt to convey your experience and view of the world to others. You will assert and defend your strongly held beliefs wherever necessary. Obviously, this is valuable if you have to influence other people and make an impression on them, but it can also be dangerous if you try to beat people over the head with your opinions and ideas.
Pisces (February 19–March 20)
Basically, your ego will create a confrontation with something, which will force a transformation of some kind. You may encounter someone who has a powerful effect upon you and causes you to change. This may happen through a conflict with this person, or he or she may gain influence over you, and therefore affect you strongly.
Aries (March 21–April 19)
You'll have trouble compromising, either in marriage or in a business relationship. Try instead to use your energy to work through your stubborness and improve your partnership. As soon as you realize the importance of negotiation and make the required adjustments, your affairs will begin to run smoothly.
Taurus (April 20–May 20)
Try to find a way to avoid working with (or for) others any more than necessary. You may be able to get some work that requires working from home and depends largely upon your individual initiative. This is a good time to begin a program of rigorous physical activity and avoid any situation that is not good for your health. Above all, do not keep your frustrations bottled up, for you are likely to become ill if you do.
Gemini (May 21–June 20)
You're feeling a lack of discipline for doing things that you really don’t want to do. Perhaps you should let your energies roam wherever you choose now, and wait until later before trying to work with any real discipline.
Cancer (June 21–July 22)
Don't fight about things that are not really worth fighting over, especially with the people you live with. You are very particular about the way you want your living space to be right now, and if someone else at home has a different point of view about something, you could have trouble coming to an agreement if you do not make an effort to compromise.
Leo (July 23–August 22)
You feel your feelings strongly right now, and you are rather inclined to be argumentative. If someone disagrees with you, it seems like a personal affront. Be careful, because you may get into pointless arguments by defending a position that doesn’t need to be defended.
Virgo (August 23–September 22)
Right now you may equate your financial position with your worth as a person. You act as if you are what you have, but it should be obvious that material things and money are not identical to your value as a human being. Buying holiday gifts for others is a great way to channel the energy of this transit.
Libra (September 23–October 22)
Your personality is much more dominant than usual, so if you are insensitive to other people, this can be a quite difficult time for all your relationships. Every relationship requires that you bend a bit to the demands of the other person, but you are not especially inclined to do that now. In fact you will be much better off if you can work independently without worrying about how your actions affect others.
Scorpio (October 23–November 21)
The main task now is to get your ego out of the way. If you don't, this could be a period of frustration and self-denial, when you don’t seem to get credit for anything you do and always have to stay in the background. Examine your behavior now, and try to make a good impression when you must assert yourself around others.
