Saturday night's LACMA Art + Film gala was the stuff of Hollywood fairy tales. The event, honoring David Hockney and Martin Scorsese, was presented by Gucci and included some of the biggest celebrities, all mingling like regular people at a regular cocktail party, but dressed in really sparkly getups. Kate Hudson and James Franco spent the beginning of the night with their heads together before Hudson flitted over to talk to Jane Fonda, presumably about workout gear. Tom Hanks, Sacha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher, and Salma Hayek all chatted animatedly beside Josh Duhamel and Fergie, who looked like two parents who could hardly believe they had the night off.
But the highlight of the evening was the concentration of so many bedazzled bodies in one room. Most of the stars opted to wear Gucci: Zoe Saldana chose a sleek, black gown sporting sheer hourglass cutouts and green sequins, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore one of this season's more boudoir-themed looks with a dramatic, plunging neckline and revealing back, and Amber Valletta picked a sea-green jumpsuit, which featured shiny paillettes over side-boob revealing netting, making her look like the most glorious, glimmering sea monster. See these looks, plus Kate Beckinsale in a bejeweled gown, Nicole Richie in a leggy Dolce & Gabbana number, and many more in our slideshow.
