There Is Now a Majestic Isabella Blow Short Film

Maybe this is what happens when fashion meets live-action role-playing games: A creepy-beautiful new short film celebrates the late Isabella Blow, just in time for Fashion Galore!, a new show that opened at Somerset House in London this week. Shot by filmmaker Ruth Hogben during Nick Knight’s four-day shoot at Doddington Hall for the exhibition’s catalog, the film features an assortment of models (Liberty Ross among them) wearing pieces from Blow’s archives and walking in slo-mo around the estate. Set to the tune of Roxy Music’s “When She Walks in the Room” — which, Vogue UK reports, was Blow’s favorite song — the film is majestic in that 1996 VH1 kind of way. Too bad it missed “Pop Up Video” by about eleven years.
