A photo surfaced on Twitter of Miley Cyrus and Cara Delevingne touching tongues. It looks like stereotypical wild-child club “look at me, notice me, love me” behavior, but also seems to be an action to cement their budding friendship — kind of like becoming blood brothers, these two are now sisters for life. We’ve ruled out pica as the cause of Miley’s constant, and persistent, urge to tongue things, but in this case it seems that Miley is using the action as if to say: Hey, Cara, I cherish and respect your friendship. After which they twerked, in sync, to seal the deal.
On the other hand, “Mush” — as Miley calls her new blood sister in the caption — is becoming a black-belt Professional Friend Collector, much like Taylor Swift. But instead of amassing a hoard of squeaky clean, cookie-baking enthusiasts, Cara D. is collecting all of the bad girls for nightclub make-outs and island trysts. It’s truly a match made in some version of heaven. Just look at the rainbow that shoots across the frame when their tongues meet! By their powers combined, the most Instagrammable friendship of 2014 is born.
