Coming Soon: A ‘Discreet’ Wearable Vibrator

Opening Ceremony’s offering may have been the big news out of Monday night’s Consumer Electronic Show, but more (physically) exciting was another kind of wearable device: an app-controlled massager designed to be worn in a woman’s underwear. OhMiBod — the company behind “the original iPod vibrator” — unveiled its new blueMotion vibrator. According to a press release, blueMotion is Android and iOS compatible, and available soon for $139. OhMiBod says it hopes the device will bring couples closer together, although they do have to be within Bluetooth range to begin with.

If this all sounds familiar, that’s probably because Durex announced the development of a nearly identical product last February. But while “Fundawear,” which included a vibrating bra and panty set for women and briefs for men, remains in development, the OhMiBod women’s-only version goes on sale this March.
