Last night, in L.A., Katy Perry attended the Grammys Salute to the Beatles in a Dolce & Gabbana silk gown-and-sleeved-cape set. Though the pale pink and purple color scheme was unfortunately reminiscent of the Geshia-inspired getup she wore to the AMAs, the look was, by Perry’s standards, quite innocuous. The gaudy floral pattern and sheer excess of fabric has already prompted many comparisons to drapery, though we’d say the overall effect— complete with a tiny bow around her neck — was closer in volume to that of a christening gown or some upholstered sofa cushions.
