Oprah Looks Incredible on the Cover of a Magazine Other than O

For its annual movie issue, W honored all of 2013's Oscar-baitiest women with several covers shot by Juergen Teller. Naturally, Jennifer Lawrence, in a pixie cut and crop top, was among them, as well as breakout star Lupita Nyong'o, Amanda Seyfried for Lovelace, and Oprah, receiving cred for her role in Lee Daniels' The Butler and also for making the husband/wife jumpsuit a thing.

While Oprah's spirit color is purple — that of royalty, naturally — she looks just as resplendent in an orange Carolina Herrera dress on the cover. In the spread, the actress leader of the universe goes high-fashion (and a little edgy) in a custom Alaïa skirt, bodysuit, and leather belt. Orange might be her new spirit color, but Alaïa better be her red-carpet outfitter come Oscar season.
