Tilda Swinton Wore 50 Shades of Beige

In Paris this morning, Tilda Swinton graced the front row of the Chanel haute couture show dressed in approximately four different shades of beige. In fact, Swinton’s Grand Palais getup was pulled almost directly from Chanel’s pre-fall 2014 runway: a tan sweater decorated with five-pointed stars, paired with a below-the-knee wool skirt that, with a linear pattern and full fringe at the hemline, looks vaguely ruglike. Rather than a slouchy boot, Tilda opted for off-white textured tights with black-and-white patent pumps, making the look more characteristically whimsical than Western.
