Two of the trolliest trolls to troll feminist activist Caroline Criado Perez and Labour MP Stella Creasy have been sentenced to weeks in prison. Isabella Sorley, 23, and John Nimmo, 25, were among the dozens of pseudonymous Twitter users who sent rape and death threats to Criado Perez and Creasy (pictured) after their campaign to get a woman on a U.K. banknote became a trending topic on Twitter. As a result of the high-profile threats, Sorley and Nimmo have been sentenced to twelve and eight weeks, respectively; Creasy added a “panic button” to her home; and Twitter added a “Report Abuse” button to its feed. Because although the arrests are rare, the threats are not.
